His Holiness Drikung Kyabgon Chungtsang Rinpoche















The Drikung Kagyu Order was founded in the late 12th century by Kyobpa Jigten Sumgön. It is headed by the two Kyabgon Rinpoches, His Holiness Drikung Chetsang and His Holiness Drikung Chungtsang. While Kyabgon Chungtsang Rinpoche resides in Lhasa, Kyabgon Chetsang Rinpoche has established the Drikung Kagyu seat in exile in the foothills of the Himalayas, outside Dehra Dun, in the northeast of India.
