The Drikung Kagyu Order was founded in 1179 by Kyobpa Jigten Sumgön. It is headed by the two Kyabgon Rinpoches, His Holiness Drikung Chetsang and His Holiness Drikung Chungtsang. While Kyabgon Chungtsang Rinpoche resides in Lhasa, Kyabgon Chetsang Rinpoche has established the Drikung Kagyu seat in exile in the foothills of the Himalayas, outside Dehra Dun, in the northeast of India.
His Holiness Drikung Kyabgön Chetsang will be visiting Malaysia, Taiwan, Chile, Peru, and the USA from May to September 2010 on an extended Dharma Tour. View the detailed schedule.
